How it works

Your solar and electric bill, explained in three steps.

The free report uses only the figures you enter. It does not connect to your accounts, so there is nothing to link and no password to share.

  1. Gather your figuresYour latest SCE or LADWP bill, and the last-update date and solar production from your Enphase app if you have them. Only the bill end date and amount are required.
  2. Enter themType the figures into the report tool. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed.
  3. Read, print, or save your reportYou get a one-page report: what the numbers say, when your solar last updated, and one next step. If information is missing, the report says so.
We never ask you to type your solar or electric-company password into Solar Bill Tracker.

It uses what you type, nothing more

Because the report is built from your entries, it cannot see your equipment or utility account, and it cannot change any settings. It does not diagnose equipment or calculate your final bill.

Your solar and bill figures may be from different dates

Solar information may update during the day, while a bill covers a billing period. The report shows the date you give for each so you know how recent the explanation is.

Why a comparison may mislead

  • Bills that cover different lengths of time
  • A change to your electric rate or plan
  • Seasonal charges and solar credits
  • Figures that are late or missing
  • Changes your electric company makes after the fact

Your electric company’s bill is always the final word.
