Terms of Use
Effective October 25, 2026. These terms apply to solarbilltracker.com, the Solar Bill Tracker report tool, and the Solar Bill Tracker app (together, the “Service”). The Service is run by Solar Bill Tracker (“Solar Bill Tracker,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Solar Bill Tracker helps homeowners understand their solar system’s reporting and their electric bill. Today it offers a free report. During this early pilot, the Service is free, may change, and may be paused or ended at any time. We will give notice before we start charging for anything, and nothing renews or charges you automatically.
You promise that you are the account holder or are authorized to share the bills, data, and details you give us, and that they are accurate to the best of your knowledge. Please do not share passwords, full payment-card numbers, or anyone else’s information. You can black out your account number before uploading a bill; we do not need it.
You give us permission to store, read, review, and use what you share to prepare your report, to run and secure the Service, and to contact you about it. A person on our team reviews each pilot report before you see it. Our hosting, storage, and email providers handle information for us under their own agreements. We do not sell your personal information. The Privacy Notice explains the details, including how long we keep things and how to delete them.
If your solar system is monitored through Enphase, you may be asked to let us read your system’s production data from Enphase, for example through the installer account that monitors your system. We only do this for the system you tell us about, for the purposes above. You can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to info@solarbilltracker.com; we will stop reading new data and delete what we stored.
The Service depends on companies we do not control, such as Enphase, electric utilities, and our hosting and email providers. We are not responsible for their data, outages, errors, or changes. Solar Bill Tracker is independent of and not endorsed by Enphase, Southern California Edison, LADWP, or any other utility or manufacturer; their names belong to them.
Please do not break the law, interfere with or probe the Service, try to reach another person’s information, upload files that contain malicious code, or use the Service to harass anyone. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are broken or to protect the Service or other people.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Solar Bill Tracker and the people who work for it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost savings, lost credits, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently nothing, because the Service is free) or $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including liability for our own fraud, willful misconduct, or violation of law, and they do not take away rights you have under consumer-protection law. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You can delete what you shared, and your sign-in account, at any time from the app, or by emailing legal@solarbilltracker.com. You can stop using the Service whenever you like. We can end or change the Service, and we will tell you if a change affects information you gave us.
Sign-in codes, report notices, and other messages about your request are part of the Service. We send marketing or informational email only if you separately opt in, and every such email will have an unsubscribe link.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if a change is material we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies to you. Using the Service after the effective date means you accept the update.
California law governs these terms and any dispute about the Service, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration section below.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court and to join a class action.
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up. These terms and the Privacy Notice are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
